In this video I show the common cause for a parking brake failure on a model S and X. This can be prevented by wrapping the harness with Tesa tape. Yes the spelling of the harness tape is T-E-S-A. This tape is abrasion resistant and can help you a lot before or after this repair. You can strip and sand the copper to expose fresh copper to solder to.
