DIY Drill Disc Sander | Drill Powered Disc Sander

I made a drill-powered disc sander.

I've been wanting to make a disc sander for some time. I finally got to make one. It is a 20 cm drill-powered disc sander. The great thing is that all of the parts are detachable - the drill platform, the support of the disc sander, and the table. As for the drill platform I got to reuse the drill press stand I built earlier. The other parts can be easily reused for other workshop jigs. The removability of the individual parts also reduces vibrations and wobbling of the machine. There is hardly any wobble at all. Also sanding discs can be easily removed and it is possible to replace the disc with a disc of a different size. The disc sander can be easily clamped to a workbench.

Tips:
Use a circle cutting jig to make a perfect circle for the disc sander
Use epoxy steel bond (long cure) to bond the shaft with the sanding disc
File shapes into the rod for better fixation
Use liquid spray adhesive for temporary sandpaper fixation. The sandpaper can be easily removed a replaced with a new one.
