In this woodturning video I create the octagonal bowl. It is a hybrid bowl made from wood and epoxy resin. Inspired from a bowl I saw on a trip to Ikea, the inside of the bowl is octagonal in shape and has 8 facets rather like a diamond. I used an acrylic art technique to colour the inside and a resin and wood design on the outside. The whole thing is then finished in numerous layers of automotive lacquer.
