White Mountain National Forest - Kancamagus Highway Adventure | NH

Every year thousands of leaf peepers show up in full force to drive the Kancamagus Highway just to get a glimpse of the brilliantly-colored NH Fall Foliage. Visitors are greeted with the fresh smell of pine trees and changing leaves, especially on a warm Fall day. Welcome to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This sprawling wilderness encompassing over 750,000 acres features some of the most diverse fall foliage I’ve witnessed, as well as endless miles of outdoor recreation.

As day 2 of our New England vacation commences in Conway, we are about to embark on a 35 mile route known as Kancamagus Highway (Rt 112) until we reach the town of Lincoln. The highway is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, vast mountains, forests and rivers. Throughout this video we will stop at several roadside destinations including: historic covered bridges, riverside waterfalls and short hikes through White Mountain National Forest. This was truly the best fall adventure of my life with my father, as we’ve never explored this portion of the United States before. With each passing mile along the scenic byway I was awestruck by the natural beauty of New Hampshire. Sit back and enjoy Part 1 of our first full day adventure in the Northeast.
