Freedom in 2025

I realized I haven't posted a single raid gameplay video since 2.1 and haven't posted a single Freedom gameplay video for even longer so here it is. I've gotta post at least one thing before Fruma drops lol. Unlikely I will post anything else Wynncraft related until Fruma aside from Banish the Beyond videos.

Also I forgot to state it in the video but the Health Healed statistic at the end of raids is not accurate and does not consider Health Regen (it has been bugged like this ever these raid stats became a thing). Given I don’t have any other healing, that number purely represents my Life Steal healing which is notably very small compared to my Health Regen.

The spell cycle is Storm - Bomb - Bomb at 10 cps (weave in main attack every 2 seconds - I find it's easier to do so after casting bomb: LRR - R).

The justification for this is that both Arrow Storm and Arrow Bomb get cancelled if you cast another while one is active but Arrow Storm has a duration (0.8s with Nimble String, Windstorm, Arrow Hurricane, 1.05s with max aspects) while Arrow Bomb is a single projectile. Thus, you can weave in multiple Arrow Bombs during an Arrow Storm's duration. Notably, a live Arrow Bomb / Bouncy Bomb gets cancelled when casting Arrow Bomb but Grape Bombs do not.

The ability tree does not take Guardian Angel upgrades because they increase the number of shots, thus lengthening their duration and making Arrow Rain occur less (12 mana back due to Recycling). When you need to replenish Guardian Angels, cast Storm - Bomb - Shield. With max aspects, the ideal spell cycle is to do two cycles of Storm - Bomb - Bomb and then one cycle of Storm - Bomb - Shield but this obviously varies depending on your combat situation.

The build depends majorly on Recycling for mana sustain but Recycling only grants you mana if your projectiles hit blocks. If they hit nothing, you don't get mana back. Thus, arenas with lots of walls and confined spaces are better for the build while rooms with far apart walls mean the build will not infinitely sustain. Max Mana rolls become important here.

When low on mana, you can fall back to the more common Boltslinger cycle of 6-7.5 cps Storm - Bomb to gain back mana. Do not use this build if you are intending to do Storm - Bomb as your main cycle.

I am using Triple Shots (Penta Shots with Tier 2+ Boltslinger Mythic Aspect) because I think it looks cool lol. Notably, Mana Steal and Life Steal are split per arrow so you may prefer an ability tree with Power Shots. However, this particular build does not really rely on Mana Steal or Life Steal and while Penta Shots does not expand the spread of Triple Shots, I find it nice for charging powder specials as it can be hard to aim with Boltslinger’s high walkspeed from Frenzy. Landing only 1 of your 3-5 main attack arrows charges powder specials at the same rate as if you landed all your arrows / landed Power Shots.

This is a build I have been using for quite a while - basically ever since Martingale became an item and it is probably my most favorite Freedom build ever. I showed the raids in the order which I think this build performs best in: Orphion's Nexus of Light, Nest of the Grootslangs, The Nameless Anomaly, The Canyon Colossus. You can pretty reliably and comfortably use the build in all raids which I find to be quite nice as this isn't true for a lot of builds nowadays. The footage was recorded in one sitting. I don't play particularly great in the footage but the point of Freedom is that you can get away with playing mediocre. The gambits were free: Cursed Alchemist (cannot use more than 3 consumables), Anemic (cannot heal more than 10% max health over 1 second), and Glutton's (picking up 3 buffs = -6 reward pulls).
