A brake is a mechanical device that inhibits motion by absorbing energy from a moving system accomplished by means of friction. It is used for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, wheel, axle, or to prevent its motion. In this project, we will explain how to design a brake disc by calculating the forces and heat flux, then model using SOLIDWORKS and analyze the model using ANSYS.
