A look at an abandoned dark ride sitting so close to so many operating rides in Coney Island,NY. It sits in the spot the former "Hell-Hole" ride used to occupy on 12th street until that ride was closed following a freak accident in 1995. The ride is a German dark ride that began it's life known as Geister Hohle when it was located in Ocean City,MD from 1991 to 1998 until sold and shipped to Coney Island in 1999. It operated in Coney Island from the summer of 1999 until 2014...for the last several years it's sat here abandoned,closed down and fenced off from the public. Why ?
