I’ve travelled from Moscow to Minsk, Belarus, a former Soviet republic that sees very few Western tourists.
As it’s Western Christmas Day, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas 🎄 and take you along to see some of Minsk’s most interesting and unusual sights — including the Eternal Flame, Lee Harvey Oswald’s old apartment, and the first meeting place of the people who went on to form the Soviet Union.
