This game is related to the story of Rainbow.EXE from the developer [J.B.M].

As well as Sonic.EXE and Sally.EXE from the developer MY5TCrimson, Spike Game series CreepyPastaSalad, ... and some other classics.

If you don't know all these storys or if you haven't played all these games, you should do this before you play SMOLDLESS.EXE. Even though this would be a sequel to RAINBOW.EXE except that is also inspired by SONIC (PC PORT).
