Sachin explains how the new engine carries 12 patented technologies, including an integrated water pump, low-noise timing drive with auto-tensioner, friction-optimised crank train, and a unique 30,000 km service interval; so customers need servicing only once a year.
Urea/AdBlue complexity ko dhyan mein rakhte hue, Eicher chose a specially developed Lean NOx Trap BS6 system, fully engine-mounted for higher efficiency and simpler upkeep.
With a flat 230 Nm torque, multiple drive modes (Eco+, Eco, Power), and testing across 20+ actual applications—city, highway, gaon ke kachcha roads, hilly terrain, and overload situations; the engine delivers strong performance and best-in-class fuel economy. Sachin also confirms that CNG trials are ongoing, and future pathways include hybrid, LNG and hydrogen.
