How to create and use a Gmail account

In this video, we will be teaching you how to create and use a Gmail account.

Hello. Today we're going to take a look at how to create a Gmail account and how to use it. So, let's get right into it. First thing you have to do is open your Google Chrome browser. In the search bar, you type account.com/signup.

Here you'll be welcome to a page where you can create a Google account. So, you enter your name, right?

Put enter in your birthday and gender over here by clicking on this drag down option.

Here you can either choose from the email address that Google has given or you can also create your own. So by clicking on the third option.

Now we press next. And here you can create a strong password. So which has to include a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. Right.

Now uh you would be well have to send a verification code right. So over here you click on this drag down option and you choose your area code and you enter your phone number over here. You enter in your phone number you will a six-digit verification code will be sent to your phone. So you have to type it over here. You can also get a new code by clicking on this. After filling in the your phone number and entering in the code that you received on your phone, you'll be welcomed to this screen where you can add a recovery mail if you want or you can press skip. And then here you can just review the info about your account. You can use this email to sign in later. And then you click on next. You can here you read through the privacy and terms and you click on I agree after you're done reading with it.

And there you have it. You've created your own Gmail account. So now that we have created our Gmail account, let us take a look at how to actually use it. So once you open your Google Chrome browser on your search bar, search mail.google.com and you'll be welcomed to this page over here, right? In order to send a mail, you click on the compose button that's on the top left corner of your screen. On pressing the compose button, you'll get a popup over here. And now you can actually type out the mail. So you you over here you write the person you want to send it send to

and over here you write the subject and over here you can type whatever you want to send and after you're done with that you can click on the send button. Once you receive a mail, it'll appear in your inbox as you can see over here. If you want to look at it, you can just click on the mail and you can actually see the reply over here. Uh you can either forward it to someone else or

you may also reply to it.

You can also see a sent mails when when you press the send button over here and you can see all the mails that you have sent. Now, in case you want to delete a mail, you can just click on delete and it'll appear in the trash folder over here, which will actually delete your mail automatically after 30 days. So in case you have received an important mail and you wanted to save it to look at it later as well, you can actually star it over here by clicking on this star and it'll be saved in your starred folder.
