I bought an instantly fell in love with the usefulness of the DeWalt DCF 894 half-inch impact, but absolutely hate the pin that locks for sockets on compared to a traditional hog ring. I was aware that DEWALT makes a very similar model that has a hard rain, so I wrote their customer service and asked if the anvils are compatible with each other, and they said no. I ordered one anyways, and saw that it is absolutely different, even at a very quick glance.
I did a lot of research and came up with my own solution: a part for a Black & Decker unit fits the Dewalt! Watch as a measure Every dimension of the two parts to verify that they are the same… I had no idea this would work before I found it and found out for myself.
