WHY IS MY BLOWER MOTOR MAKING A LOUD NOISE? Terrible noise when AC stops

Why is my blower motor making a loud noise? We were called to this house for the first time due to a loud noise when the furnace blower would turn off while running the air conditioner. The furnace blower is still used with the air conditioner to push the air into the house.

This was Jordan's first appointment of the day and when he arrived, the unit was not making the same noise. Upon inspection he found oil on both the furnace motor and blower wheel. Due to age (21 years old) and lack of maintenance, he recommended three options: 1. Get everything very clean and put it back together. This way it will run as good as it possibly can before it eventually fails completely. 2. Replace to motor. 3. Replace the furnace.

The homeowner decided to join our maintenance program. This way he got a full cleaning of his HVAC system and he will be able to have us back out at no charge when the motor finally fails.
