Welcome back to the channel! In today’s episode, I try once again to do the impossible: get my 25-year-old Ferrari 360 Modena smog-tested in the beautiful (and bureaucratic) state of California.
If you’ve followed this saga before, you already know the plot twist — every time a smog shop scans my VIN, the car’s “0” and “O” play musical chairs, confusing the software and sending me straight into DMV purgatory for a VIN verification.
Will my 360 pass with flying colors? Will the scanner freak out again? Will I be forced to explain to another DMV clerk why Italy uses characters that California’s systems apparently consider optional?
