My flight left Vegas at 8:20 pm, which was amazingly the last departure out of McCarron. Still operating from the 1s due to strong winds from the north, we taxied the long way to the southern end of the crosswind runways. As the resorts of The Strips whizz by us, we take a sharp turn over Las Vegas Boulevard in all of its nighttime glory. We take another turn to the south (to avoid the restricted airspace of Nellis Air Force Base) as we continue ascending in into the full moon lit sky.
