This is Part 2 of my "Use what you have; buy what you need" Valentine's Day Card series. These 3 cards were made with just a few new products and the rest from my current supplies. It's not always necessary to buy every new bundle release, especially for Valentine cards. How many hearts and sentiments do you really need to say Be My Valentine? Sit back and enjoy the card making.
Valentine’s Day Cards Day 2 Card Recipes
CARD #1
Card Base: Basic White Thick. 8 ½ x 5 ½, scored at 1 ½ and 5 ¾
Basic White: 4 x 4 ¼, scored at 3/8 and additional scraps for stamping/punching jar
Silver Foil: ½ x 5 ½ strip and scraps to punch 2 jar lids and 3 hearts
Doily: Cut large pink doily in half
DSP: Pattern 1: 2 ½ x 5 ¼
Pattern 2: 1 3/8 x 5 ¼ and 2 5/8 x 5 ¼
CARD #2
Card Base: Pretty in Pink. 8 ½ x 5 ½, scored at 4 ¼
Layer 1: Strawberry Slush. 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
Layer 2: Basic White. 5 ¼ x 4/ Embossed with Hearts of Love
Strawberry Slush: Die cut circles from Spotlight on Nature.
Basic White: Die cut circle from Stitched Shapes or any circle
Smaller than Spotlight on Nature die
Gold Foil: Die cut hearts from Endless Love
Inside: Basic White. 5 ¼ x 4
CARD #3
Card Base: Basic White Thick. 8 ½ x 5 ½, scored at 4 ¼
Layer 1: Melon Mambo. Die cut largest die from Textured Notes
Acetate: 1 ¾ x 3
Basic White: 1 ¾ x 3 for shaker backing; scraps to stamp Friendly Foliage image and sentiment
Inside: Flirty Flamingo. 5 ¼ x 4
Basic White. 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
