Join me in Laos, as I visit the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone (GTSEZ), nestled along the banks of the Mekong River and in close proximity to the borders of Thailand and Myanmar.
The Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone is an area of Laos currently leased to the King’s Roman Group, with plans to develop the area into a new urban centre aimed at boosting trade and investment.
The Zone boasts huge casinos, waterfront developments and large sky scrapers with lots of money being pumped in.
I visit from nearby Sop Ruak, in Thailand, and I explore the GTSEZ and see what this place is all about.
