The Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway (July 14th 2019)

Now here's a video containing almost 40 minutes of footage, filmed on the 3.5-mile Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway heritage railway in South Wales, which currently runs trains between a halt platform opposite the Whistle Inn public house (famed for its collection of miners' lamps) and Southwards to the town of Blaenavon via another halt platform station, at the site of the former colliery furnace of the Big Pit National Coal Museum. The line is currently the highest preserved standard-gauge line in the United Kingdom, and also the only standard-gauge rail-over-rail bridge within preservation. Enjoy.

NOTE: Due to there being no run-around loops at Whistle Inn Halt and Big Pit Halt the locomotive has to pull/push the train in and out of these single platform stations (before going Northwards to Whistle Inn Halt the locomotive runs around it's train at the main Furnace Sidings Station (which I forgot to film) to push the train into the halt to safely pull train back through Furnace Sidings into Big Pit Halt. Then the locomotive pushes the train back into Furnace Sidings again before making the other Southward journey to Blaenavon High Level Station). Also, after passing through Blaenavon High Level Station, the train continues a fair way Southwards until it reaches buffer stop by Varteg Hill Colliery. Then the locomotive pushes the train back into Blaenavon High Level Station, before running around the train to make the return journey to Furnace Sidings.

I also apologise for some major wind howling sounds in places, I have since got better camera which I will eventually use to re-film the journey. I also had to put some black fade effects in some parts of the video, to fade out the faces of some children to avoid any issues.
