0:00 - 2:05 intro
2:05 - 2:10 compare all 3 focal lengths
2:10 - 4:28 12mm
4:29 - 4:55 5mm
4:55 - 6:21 35mm
Note: the RPi HQ cam can shoot 4056x3040 and in this video I mostly am streaming at 1024x720 then I cut it in half (50% resize) to fit it on the bottom left corner most of the time in this 1920x1080P video.
I ordered the two Arducam lenses from Cytron and the Sonew 5mm came from Amazon
Here are some raw full size images (54" away from wall).

Notes about each lens
5mm has a sliding internal focus moves
5mm uses the RPi C-CS adapter (taller)
12mm needs a custom riser to focus far on RPi
35mm uses RPi C-CS adapter
35mm the front rotating ring doesn't move much/do anything to the image
35mm the image above was with the focus ring at most-near position
35mm rotating from near to far makes the image worse
I will have outdoor footage once I design/build the camera for this.
I plan on having an OLED display that will do magnification so you can check focus/image sharpness.
I did see the random green flash at 4:27 not sure what made that
I will say making a "DSLR-like" camera out of this is a fool's errand as they say if you want good pictures. You can get a 16MP Nex-5N by Sony for $50 (no lens) that was a flag ship camera 12 years ago but still takes great pictures.
But it's fun to have a more interface-able thing like an RPi where you can build your own menu, write code, design a body, etc...
