Love, Mountains & Birds in Montagu

Plans changed… but love never does. ❤️

What was meant to be our 10-year honeymoon weekend at Protea Farm took an unexpected turn when the farm closed suddenly after the passing of its beloved founder. 🌾💔

❌ No potjiekos by the fire.
❌ No iconic tractor ride through the mountains.

But life has a way of writing its own stories.

Instead, we found ourselves in the charming winter town of Montagu, South Africa — wrapped in crisp air, spontaneous joy, and soulful moments. ❄️🍷🕊️ We wandered cobbled streets, savored delicious local food, and shared quiet encounters with birds in the stillness of nature.

Though Protea Farm will have to wait for another chapter, this detour gifted us a weekend full of meaning, magic, and memories. 🌄🛤️✨

We’ll return to Protea Farm one day to share its story properly. For now, join us on this unexpected, heartwarming journey. 💫
