Wheezes Lung Sounds Monophonic Rhonchi Breath Sounds Abnormal Sonorous Wheeze

Wheeze lung sounds (formerly called rhonchi) are musical instrument sounding noises. This wheeze is known as a low-pitched, monophonic wheeze (or sonorous wheeze). This abnormal breath sound is auscultated mainly in expiration (but may be present during inspiration) and sounds like a low-pitched whistling tune or whine with ONE TYPE OF SOUND QUALITY, hence its name monophonic.
