তৈলঙ্গ স্বামী কাশীর সচল বিশ্বনাথ বলে পরিচিত। তাঁকে বহু মানুষ দেখেছেন নগ্ন অবস্থায় বারাণসীর রাস্তায় ঘুরে বেড়াতে — নির্লিপ্ত, নিবেদিত, এবং ঈশ্বরচিন্তায় ডুবে থাকা এক সন্ন্যাসী।
তিনি ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা গঙ্গার জলে ভাসতেন, কেউ বলতেন — তিন দিন ডুবে থেকেও তিনি নিঃশ্বাস ছাড়তেন না!

ইতিহাস বলছে — তিনি ছিলেন অদ্বৈতবাদের এক বিরল সাধক, যাঁর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়েছিলেন স্বয়ং রামকৃষ্ণ পরমহংসদেব। বারাণসীর বহু মানুষ তাঁকে চিনতেন, দেখেছেন, এবং তাঁর আচরণকে ব্যাখ্যা করতে পারেননি।

অনেক অলৌকিক ঘটনার বর্ণনা পাওয়া যায় তাঁর জীবন ঘিরে — লোকমুখে বলা হয়, তিনি প্রায় ৩০০ বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত বেঁচেছিলেন। কেউ বলেন, তিনি আগুনে বসে থাকতেন ঘণ্টার পর ঘন্টা অথচ শরীরে আঁচ লাগত না!

এসব গল্প কতটা সত্য, কতটা জনশ্রুতি সেসব নিয়ে নিশ্চিত করে বলা কঠিন হলেও আমরা চেষ্টা করেছি এই ভিডিওতে তাঁর জীবন-ইতিহাস তুলে ধরতে। তবে একথা নিঃসন্দেহে বলা যায়:
