Taking the Papageno lift up and continuing on foot toward the Radstädter Hütte, this walk shows Filzmoos at its very best. The trail across the Rossbrand is gently rolling and open, with wide views of the Dachstein massif and the Bischofsmütze. The so-called Wurzel path keeps you close to the ground; roots, forest floor and shifting light create a natural rhythm to the walk. After a pause at the Radstädter Hütte, the descent follows the Dr. Märzweg, a quiet forest trail that gradually leads you back into the village. Online, this route is described as accessible, panoramic and ideal to walk at an unhurried pace, also with a dog.
Filmed with the Fujifilm GFX100II and an Atlas Mercury 42 mm anamorphic lens, the landscape comes through in full width: the openness of the ridgelines above, the intimacy of the forest below and the transitions in between. The walk has a natural narrative arc—from open high ground to a sheltered valley—that almost translates itself into imagery. Together with Flynn, the story gains an extra layer of movement, calm and freedom, in a landscape that invites you to truly observe.
