The new ICL models feature a small hole in the middle to prevent cataracts so that fluid can flow normally inside the eye. This was one of the reasons due to which earlier cataracts formed and now that this hole has been made, fluid can move freely, so cataracts and glaucoma don't occur anymore after ICL. However, light passing through this hole can sometimes break a little and cause halos and glares in your eyes. However, your brain adjusts to this after awhile and it no longer causes problems
