We are so unbelievably thrilled to see all the talent in the Curro family, so let me introduce you to one of our favourites: the 17 year old Tshepang Mogane is headboy at Meridian Karino in Mbombela, where he spent his whole high school career.
He is a self-taught musician and holds the distinction of being the only Kryptonite awarded songwriter/composer in the group. His greatest support has been from his teacher, Divine Mlambo, himself an incredible musician. Since we met Tshepang last year he has just left us breathless with his charisma, rootedness and sheer talent.
Tshepang is walking his way to full musicianship and has applied to study music at UCT next year.
We have just heard that Tshepang has won the prestigious national DALRO singing competition, which will go a long way in helping him pay for this studies. Congratulations Tshepang!
We look forward to seeing Tshepang fulfil his incredible potential and we are here to help whenever he needs us.
