A mace flourish on the march during the Drum Majors display competition, held during the 2025 North of Scotland Pipe Band Championship. This was held at King George V Park in Banchory on Sunday 11th May 2025, and the band playing were Elgin & District Pipe Band. The Drum Majors here (from closest) were Philip Michie (4th) Rebecca Cox (3rd) Tracy Deans (2nd) and Michael Leitch (1st)
There was a great turnout of Pipe Bands taking part in this championship, thanks to the efforts of the organisers Banchory District Initiative, in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe band Association - North of Scotland Branch.
