Gold, Serpentine & a Storm Rolling In

Though I’ve dug on this river before, this spot is fairly new to me. The area was scouted and panned before this trip just to test for any gold. The Serpentine concentrates are very heavy here and it may be close to a contact zone. All the usual suspects for minerals are present like garnet, quartz, hematite, magnetite, and pyrite. Dug around for about 4 hours and decided to jet once the heavier rain started.
