6. London-Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

London may not be one of the prettiest cities in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, but it is still one of the most interesting to explore due to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate taking place during the Industrial Revolution in England.
That isn’t to say the city of London doesn’t have its charms, as in between the thick smoke caused by the factories are an assortment of popular buildings. Players are able to explore the Palace of Westminster, or they can even scale up the side of the Elizabeth Tower to look out on the rest of the city.

5. Rome-Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is arguably a title that many tend to forget, but one element that is sure to remembered is the wonderful city of Rome that players get to explore as the well-loved Ezio Auditore. In between the fight for power and the corruption of Rome, there is a living city to navigate through, from the streets to the roofs.
Besides the usual exploration, players are even able to help the crumbling city of Rome through their own financial aid, as they put their well-earned many towards revitalizing the many broken-down buildings of the city and breathing new life into it.

4. Baghdad-Assassin’s Creed Mirage

The Golden Age of Baghdad is a unique and interesting period of time to explore in one of the most colorful and interesting places in the world. Within this vibrant city are four different districts that the player, as Basim, will navigate through while exploring the fascination story of what Basim was up to as a young man, compared to the person players meet in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Returning to the city, players fall in love with the architecture of Baghdad and the colorful nature of its buildings. Naturally, some areas are richer than others, showing a finer art style to the buildings, while others provide a look at the poorer side of ninth-century Baghdad.

3. Paris-Assassin’s Creed Unity

Paris is already a phenomenal location to be able to explore within an Assassin’s Creed game, with the entirety of Assassin’s Creed Unity taking place there. Paris isn’t one of the best cities in the franchise because of its beauty; it’s actually one of the best because of the destruction it underwent during the French Revolution.
While players may still take time to admire fine gardens and extraordinary buildings it’s the people within the city of Paris that are the most interesting. Since it’s the French Revolution, players will find protests n the streets, people fighting for their freedom, and they will also witness fires and commotion, helping Paris feel even more alive.

2. Jerusalem-Assassin’s Creed

It wouldn’t be a ranking of the best cities in Assassin’s Creed if there wasn’t an inclusion of the first game that started it all. Even for a game that was released in 2007, the city of Jerusalem in Assassin’s Creed is one of the greatest location a player can visit, and it showcased the potential the franchise had to create extraordinary historical locations.
Like Mirage, the city is divided into districts that the player will likely find themselves visiting during missions. From the poor districts to the richer ones, there is always something to discover, as well as being the perfect place for any assassin who wishes to stick to the rooftops instead of a busy street.

1. Venice-Assassin’s Creed 2

Out of all the historical cities that gamers have visited over the years in Assassin’s Creed, the best city available has to be Venice in Assassin’s Creed 2. Italy may have already appeared once due to the beauty of Rome, but no one can deny not only enjoying Assassin’s Creed 2 for its incredible story, but also for the beauty that comes with exploring Venice.
The city was made for parkour, with houses feeling incredibly crammed together, making it incredibly easy to run from one rooftop to another. The beauty doesn’t stop there; there are also the canals to admire throughout Venice, as well as the memorable buildings that players are tasked with climbing and infiltration during missions.
