LECTURE 12
Here cash flow diagrams are introduced as a method of visualizing multiple cash flows over a span of time. Formulations of future value given present value (F given P) and present value given future value (P given F) are shown in in the context of cash flow diagrams to illustrate the concept of time value of money. An example using the present and future value formulas is shown, focusing on finding P, F, and n. Another example is shown in which the total present and future values of several cash flows over a span of time are computed.
