There’s something magical about flying over the Grand Canyon in my XCub. The vastness of it all, those incredible layers of rock telling stories that span millions of years. As I glide through the air, I can’t help but marvel at the Colorado River snaking its way through the canyon floor, a ribbon of blue cutting through the reds and browns of the cliffs.
You can spot the little trails winding down to hidden viewpoints, and I can almost feel the thrill of hikers making their way to those breathtaking overlooks. The updrafts are a pilot’s dream, lifting me higher, giving me a bird’s-eye view of one of nature’s greatest wonders. It’s a reminder of how small we are in the grand scheme of things, yet how exhilarating it is to experience this beauty from above.
