Achuthappa Nayak: Renovated the temple
Significance
The temple is a significant pilgrimage site associated with the nine planets, with a special focus on Rahu.
Legend
Legend has it that Raghu worshipped Naganathaswamy and got rid of his curse.
Festivals
The temple celebrates many festivals, including Kanda Sashti, Sivarathri, Vijaya Dashami, Navaratri, and the transition of Raghu.
