Big time coal, a manifest and Amtrak from the West Virginia ghost town of Thurmond!

On Wednesday and Thursday, @JawTooth and I hooked up with our buddy Walter Langston (Waldo`s Trains) @walterlangston4484 in Thurmond, West Virginia to catch whatever action we could.
Walter lives near Thurmond and is an absolute expert on all things in that area of West Virginia. He films trains and also does videos showing his hometown and many other cool things there as well. Be sure to check out his channel and subscribe!
Okay, we got 5 trains the first day we were there. 3 were monster loaded coal trains headed East with 2 mid-train DPUs, along with a long, mixed manifest and the final train is the Amtrak Cardinal stopping and leaving the train station where no one got on or off the train.
Thurmond is the second least used stop in the entire Amtrak system. Not surprising since there are only 5 people living in Thurmond these days!
