St. Croix State Park, MN // POV Trail Running on St. Croix and Kettle River

I'm at St. Croix State Park near Hinckley, Minnesota for this "virtual run!" St. Croix State Park follows 21 miles of the St. Croix river and the last seven miles of the Kettle River before it converges with the St Croix in the Southwest corner of the park.
What makes St. Croix State Park especially unique is its size – over 33,000 acres – making it the largest park in the Minnesota state park system. The park’s trail system is also huge, including over 127 miles of hiking, biking, skiing and horseback riding trails.
Today, I’ll be taking on a small portion of that trail system – about 12 miles (edited to 1 hour) – following the Kettle River for about six miles before it meets up with the St. Croix. It’s a beautiful, early April run over some relatively easy terrain.
