Here's a little bit of Gene Krupa thrown into a 1940's style Swing solo as I have fun on my beloved vintage Slingerland Radio Kings.
This 1940's kit I use on my Swing Orchestra gigs as I believe it's sound and feel is so evocative of the era, even with plastic heads! The kick drum is a very satisfying 26" diameter and a 6.5" deep 1930's Gene Krupa Radio King snare drum has a lovely warm tone but with 'fire cracking' rim shots!
