Andre Drummond - Relentless Rebounder

Andre Drummond is a force to be reckoned with. This season, through 39 games, Dre sits in the top 10 in field goal percentage, 13th in PER, leads the league with 15.3 rebounds/game, 15th in steals with 1.8 per game, 14th in the league with 1.5 blocks/game, and 8th in free throw attempts (yes, I know his difficulties here, but he’s still getting to the charity stripe A LOT. To put it in perspective, he’s ahead of Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, and LeBron). He also represented Team USA in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, and came home with gold. That’s pretty great for someone who is only 22 years old. Also, an oddly impressive stat is that he played 60 games during his rookie campaign, 81 his second, was a perfect 82/82 last season, and he’s yet to miss a game this year.
Did you forget about Dre? (Major props to the NBA.com commentator that says that when the big man gets into the Top 10). He currently leads the league in offensive rebounds, at 208, the next one after him is Zaza Pachula at 147. That’s an unbelievable gap. What’s so crazy is if you watch Pistons games, sometimes the bigs that are supposed to rotate over to guard driving down the lane just do not; instead, they stay connected to Drummond because they don’t want to give up a demoralizing putback dunk. That’s absurd to think that it’s better for you to give up a wide open layup, rather than forcing a miss and trusting your guys to rotate over, but such is the effect of the NBA's Andre the Giant. Dre ravages opponents on the glass, and rattles them with his relentless rebounding.
All these clips are from the 2015-16 season, and it's almost entirely comprised of his offensive rebounding prowess. Enjoy!
