Save your feathers after harvesting a Goose for fly tying. If you find wings on the ground, it's also worth checking for Biots. In this video, I harvest a goose and show which wings offer quality biots. Other wing feathers are useful for wing cases and legs with the softer feathers. Some tyers use other feathers off the goose for traditional swing flies. I've yet to try them but will experiment with other parts of the Goose in the future.

About Me:
I was born to chase fish and found my way to fly fishing at the age of 12. I've since guided and led trips around the globe and spend my time exploring unique fisheries on my own terms. When I'm not fishing, writing or filming, I'm generally tying flies in my studio or chasing critters with a bow.
