CATHAY PACIFIC - Empty and pleasant flight | CX407 Taipei - Hong Kong | Economy Class | Trip Report

Hello and welcome! Thank you for joining me on this Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong in Economy Class.

This is the second of four flights on this spontaneous trip to Japan in the southern hemisphere winter. This was not a planned trip that I normally do like 5 months in advance. This trip was planned 1 week before. In fact, Japan was not my target destination, but Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan were. However, no economy class flights to those destinations were below $3,000 AUD, except Japan. I got an incredible deal on Japan Airlines to Tokyo which I only spent $1,010 one way considering the time I booked and leaving the week after! So Japan it was.

After four wonderful days, it's time to return home. Similar the journey to Japan, since this was a last minute trip, I was trying to find the best and cheapest way home. Another cheapest way home was surprisingly by Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong! Given how last minute it was, I surprised to get a good deal, so CX it was!

It was an empty flight on this sector, which naturally makes it a great flight! Service was awesome and it was nice to get a hot meal on this flight as well.
