[4K] A Unique Airbnb Stay at Rumah No.2 Universiti Malaya in Petaling Jaya

This past weekend, I lived out a childhood dream—spending a night in a converted bus at the compound of Rumah No.2 in Petaling Jaya.

We chose this place to celebrate my second daughter's 7th birthday. Initially, I was a little concerned. The large house, a supposed environmental hub, appeared neglected with unmaintained greenery and a lack of the chickens other guests mentioned. The bus itself didn't look much better from the outside, with moldy windows and signs of wear and tear. Mosquitoes buzzed around, adding to my disappointment.

While the outside didn't exactly scream "dreamy getaway," the inside of the bus offered a charming surprise. Stepping inside the bus was like stepping into a different world. The interior was beautifully designed, clean, and surprisingly spacious. Books and board games lined the shelves and cabinets. The bathroom at the back of the house, which is accessible for Airbnb guests, was cleaner than I would have imagined. It was clear that love and attention had been poured into creating a cozy and comfortable space.

While a little care on the exterior would definitely enhance the first impression, it shouldn't deter anyone from experiencing the magic of this unique Airbnb. The charm of the converted bus, coupled with the comfortable interior and thoughtful amenities, made for a truly memorable stay.
