HOW to make CANDLES| RECIPE and TIPS included!

Beeswax candles are my favorite because I know they are pure and safe to burn in my home! Store bought candles that use soy or beeswax are also filled with paraffin (petroleum) wax. They are highly toxic with toluene and benzene... known carcinogens! It's like allowing diesel fuel fumes into your home!! Not to mention the artificial fragrances used!
Have fun making your candles! For me, I love the ambiance and health benefit of beeswax! My favorite are my unscented beeswax and my Citronella essential oil blend!
Be sure to test all your candles. Once I started making candles to sell, I got insurance for my business.
In a proper wicked candle, your candle should reach a full melt pool in the circumference of the jar in about an hour and no more than 1/2 " in wax depth as it burns. Don't burn your candle more than four hours at a time!
If you want to start a business making candles you are required to attach the warning labels on each candle.

Recipe: 2-8oz Bees wax Candles in 2.9" wide x 3.5" height (Listed below)
12.8 oz beeswax
3.2 oz unrefined coconut oil
1.1 oz Lavender essential oil (optional)
Total liquid with essential oils is 17.1 oz.
(Have a 3rd jar wicked for any excess)

Recipe in % to make as many candles as you want to make: Just add up the ounces you need per how many jars you want to fill; you can google your % (like "what's 80% of 32" if you want to fill 4 - 8 oz jars...and so on.)
80% beeswax
20% unrefined coconut oil
7% essential oil / Natural fragrance

If you have 3” wide mason jars you can use those instead of buying jars. They will require more wax to fill than the recipe I have included. But if wanting to start a business, buying jars is a better option. Make sure you wipe out jars with rubbing alcohol to help the wick glue dots adhere Links below are my amazon affiliate links where I get a small commission if you purchase at NO additional charge to you!
This is a very basic list used in this video. There is a lot of helpful equipment out there for candle making, but not necessary if making small batches at a time! I eventually want to purchase a wax melter with a spout to help in production.
