Christmas Holiday Composer's challenge 2025

Welcome to this year’s Christmas Composer Challenge!
This time, you get to choose one musical world to work in — and then add a surprising twist. So here are the rules:

Create a 60 - 90 seconds long piece of music in ONE of these three styles:

• Orchestral
• Folk/Fantasy
• Industrial/Electronic

Here's the twist: feature at least ONE unusual instrument, like for example:

Banjo, Didgeridoo, Kazoo, Ukulele, Ocarina, Hurdy-Gurdy, Kalimba, Jaw Harp, Shakuhachi, Accordion, Waterphone…
Or anything else that's uncommon, quirky, or unexpected. The stranger, the better!

How to participate:

Upload your finished track to YouTube. If you want to be included in our playlist then don't flag it "For Children".

Include the Hashtag: #2025holidaycomposerchallenge

send your submission to [email protected] by thursday 22/12/2025.
All entries will be listed in our official playlist. And as always we will have some sponsors on board, so there's even the chance to win fantastic prizes, drawn by the wheelof names.
