Scarborough Trooper fuses Simon & Garfunkel's haunting "Scarborough Fair" with Iron Maiden's legendary "The Trooper." Medieval lament meets cavalry charge. Impossible tasks meet impossible odds. Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme — screamed at 162 BPM as the horses thunder toward the guns.

Both songs are about being sent on missions you can't survive. The fair and the battlefield were always the same place.

"The Trooper" is the charge of the Light Brigade — 600 men riding into certain death because someone told them to.

Both songs are about being destroyed by what you're asked to do. The fair was always a battlefield. The battlefield was always a place where love goes to die.
