Talked to the designer at Benro, who confirmed the top section is completely adjustable and can be tightened up if needed. He challenged me that it would support my body weight!

By the time I published this video, the Induro monopod was discontinued and I could not find it on Amazon, so I don't have an affiliate link, but the quality of the construction made me curious to try more Induro products in the future.
