Jeep J20 dashboard Removal and gauge cluster repair, Interior Paint

In this video over Christmas we worked on repairing the dashboard, I was trying not to buy a new or reman one for 2400 bucks. We decided to fix the old one, the cracks were in the speaker housing, then we pulled the cluster apart and it was full of mud dobber wasp nests. Previously once the dash was pulled we cleaned up the cab interior and sprayed it. I also cleaned up part of the steering column and started fixing the front fenders- those will be another video separate from this.

A little recap of why we are fixing this truck- a long time ago when i was a teenager my dad bought this truck , it had belonged to a close friend of the family who could not afford this truck anymore. So he and i worked on it with friends and fixed it up. When i was away at work my dad sold it and then all these years wondered what ever happened to the truck, that was over 30 years ago.
Flash forward 3 years ago my wife found it for sale. A guy got it from the guy my dad sold it to, we obviously paid a lot to get it back, my dad felt the truck was not able to be saved due to the amount of rust, mice and dents. Well i am not very smart so i decided to do it anyway. I have no idea how many hours i have into this truck and I am doing most of the hard work on my own. My plan is to have the truck driveable again so my dad can drive it one last time as he is 79 as of this video. I also work away from home for extended periods.

The next step will be to install the dash and cluster as well as the column then put the new windshield in. The body work will also continue now that we closed our carport in.

Parts for #jeep are hard to get in general so we are trying to fix what we can.
