This museum was founded by Aldo Ikhwanul Khalid, who initially began collecting toys for personal interest in 2008. His collection grew rapidly, and in 1999, Aldo established Zero Toys, the first collector’s toy store in Bandung. In 2008, the collection was transformed into Museum 198X, named after the range of years in which the showcased toys were produced, namely from 1980 to 1989.
