CORNERS - These are the building blocks of everything, and are what's going to allow you to enjoy Overwatch 2 a lot more, look throughout the gameplay at how I abuse corners to my advantage with any other tank duo and look at how I break them and when I do. They are even more useful while learning because we can break Line of Sight and check our COOLDOWNs, our HP, where our TEAMMATES are and get a game plan going.

COOLDOWNS - These are crucial to play around - youll notice that if you were to go in without recall, Winston bubble, Zarya bubble etc that you will pop and die quickly. This is because without them we increase the likelihood of dying and giving up our chance of carrying - we might get away with it but leaving it up to chance will create bad habits once you reach higher elos. Give them value and
plan ahead on what you want to use them on, or have a condition on when you'll use it to avoid spamming them and panicking.

TEAMMATES - we all have them, you know the drill, bad teammates this that blabla what do I do -

Look at the game through the lens of resources - pretend that each person brings a different resource to the table - such as wood, metal, gold - and the team with the most amount of resources will typically have a higher chance of winning - this means a multitude of things. Do we have a person who is supposed to be holding all the "gold" but they are dying really early on in a fight? Well maybe, when they are wasting all their "gold" the enemy will be distracted picking it up and you pounce. Let me use a clearer example, in this instance the Gold is our Main Tank, the resource is MAINLY his Shield and his HP - a Reinhardt that is pinning in on cooldown and dying, being absolutely useless, will at the very least be worth something if we strike when the enemy team is looking at him, and not US, meaning that we can be greedier with our resources and look to catch off a weakness in the enemy team. As long as he isn't completely off sync with the respawns of your team then this is absolutely something consistent you can play around.

Let's continue - it is also our job to make sure that we are not a part of the problem, you too also hold value within the team economy - so by using corners we can turn our camera to visually see where our teammates are, their locations and potentially state, ie someone is getting dove by a Tracer while the rest of the team is rushing in. if you didn't turn around you would go 'why didn't we nano' for example, this could have been prevented by us updating the information and potentially denying the enemy's play.

Not every game will be winnable - and every game has so many variables where it will be impossible to sync up resources and your economy to outweigh the others, it doesn't mean its impossible, but it means that it's okay if the other team is better, they were meant to win, you can still do your part within your economy, or even try to make up for others (aka carrying).

Everybody has bad teammates - but not everyone looks to work on improving their many issues that they have plenty of time to work on. One will be stuck, the other will eventually carry.

Role - Two roles - that of the person that looks to bait out resources, such as a tank, to create an advantage for themselves and their team, and those who capitalise of that.

This means that, if your tank manages to bait the Ana nade out by doing a lot of damage to the frontline, she will be more vulnerable to a flanker or pressure from someone else - this means that we have the role of those who are creating this advantage, and those who need to be ready to capitalise, being aware of which one is important when is incredibly dependent on awareness of the situation, hence my encouragement to turn around.

Flankers, it is in your BEST interest to wait for teammates to create space, this can take some time, so while you wait you can use the map to get a nice off-angle, and by that time there should be an opening - by you being aware, you might notice things you haven't seen before, such as people out of position without cooldowns, being aware of a teammate's timing in engaging and playing alongside them etc...
