SOLO IN THE HIMALAYAS | Tilicho Lake (4,919 m)
This video documents my first solo trek in the Himalayas — a journey that tested my patience, mindset, and limits more than my legs.I didn’t start with a big plan.I just started walking. The journey begins in Kathmandu, traveling by local bus to Besisahar, followed by a rough Bolero ride through Chamche, passing waterfalls and narrow mountain roads, all the way to Pisang and Bob Marley Hotel. From there, the trek slowly unfolds:
Hiking through quiet villages and forests
A peaceful stop at Chingdi (Blue) Lake near Humde. Reaching Humde Airport on foot
A challenging hike to Ice Lake, where the real test began — especially on the return, when fatigue, altitude, and fear hit hardest Walking alone through silence, cooking my own meals, and sharing brief moments with strangers on the trail The final stretch takes me from Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp, a raw and rugged trail where words felt unnecessary and nature spoke louder than anything else.
The last day — Tilicho Lake (4,919 meters) — was cold, windy, and unforgiving. Breathing was hard. Hands were freezing. But standing in front of one of the world’s highest lakes made every step worth it.
