Traditional English Christmas Fruit Cake, is Gluten free and liquor free, I used a naturally gluten free flour. I decided to focus in the recipe although if you want to decorate the cake the English tradition is to cover it with Marzipan (which I love! is a kind of paste made with Almonds) then cover it with Fondant icing or royal icing. This recipe is based on Mrs. Robinson's fruit cake, which I got in an old writing.
As my husband is English and I'm Mexican we keep both cultures alive at home this way our son learns both equally. Believe me has been nice to discover and try about England and it's food.
