MND: In Their Words - Episode One: Carolyn's Story

Welcome to MND: In Their Words. I am Alec, one half of the Mad Moody Runners and I am Lewis Moody's Nephew. The feelings following Lewis's recent diagnosis were immediate shock, confusion and grief; I felt incredibly out of control. However, with the wonderful help of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, my brother and I have been lucky enough to be placed onto the London Marathon 2026. As a result, we started the Mad Moody Run Club, what we hope will be a community of people that can come together to shine a light on Motor Neurone disease, we want to raise as much money and awareness as possible in the hope we can one day help to find a cure.

This series; started off by Carolyn who's father sadly has Motor Neurone disease, is a platform for people with and around MND to voice their experiences of MND and their wishes and hopes for the future of MND. Carolyn is an incredible speaker who was very open and honest and this chat was incredibly informative. I hope you can take from this as much as I could.
