Well done to the team at Watercress Line “Mid Hants Railway” for putting on great Gala!
Ivatt 2MT Tank “41312” was performing shunting demonstrations around Ropley. The SR V Class 30925 “Cheltenham”, BR Standard Class 4 4-6-0 “76017” & LSWR S15 Class “506” were on the passenger service from Alresford to Alton!
The GWR 5700 Pannier Tank “4612” both from the Bodmin & Wenford Railway & the GWR 4575 Small Prairie, “5526” from the South Devon Railway, where the two guests locos for the event!
“5526” did the passenger train from Alresford to Alton & “4612” did a shuttle service between Alresford & Ropley.
The GWR 6400 Pannier “6435” was originally going to star at gala by Unfortunately was pulled out and sent back due to tubes issues.
So a GWR 5700 “4612” took over as the guest loco instead!
