#59 It’s an Acrylic Paint Pour Balloon Bloom (Balloom) Smash on a Dry Canvas with CELLS and LACING!!

Here’s an easy way to get some adorable little blooms without using a pillow, no blowing and no tilting. This is also perfect if you like to make skins for jewelry! Just do your smashes on a non-stick surface and peel them off when they’re dry!

I’m not listing the colors as there’s so many and a lot of them were mixed a while ago, so I’m not even sure what they are. The important thing to remember is to go crazy!They’re all ColourArte pigments and Prizm Pour paints, however. Exactly what you’d use in the bloom technique.

I mixed the Prizm Pour and paints with Vivid PolyPour by ColourArte, 1 part paint to 2 parts PolyPour. The pigments were either mixed the same, or with Vivid Enamel by ColourArte, 1 ounce of mix and .3 ounces of Polycrylic to 1 small spoon of pigment.

My cell activator was Amsterdam Titanium White and Oxide Black mixed with Australian Floetrol 5:1.

**I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some YouTube videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.
